Each year hundreds of people, ranging from children to the experienced fisherman, travel to Evans Head to participate in the Evans Head Fishing Classic where they get to experience all that the North Coast of NSW has to offer. With 21 draws every night, daily winners and amazing prizes – there is much to keep you entertained for the 7 days.

Skullcandy Oz Grom Open 2014

Lennox Head July 4-9
Australia’s premier boardriding club Le Ba Boardriders has again teamed up with Skullcandy Headphones for the 2014 “SKULLCANDY OZ GROM OPEN”, a premium junior surfing event during July at Lennox Head NSW. The event will showcase the cream of Junior Surfing and also include the exciting Under 20 invitee division. The same panel of judges with ASP experience will be judging at the event again in 2014. The event will have live webcast for the last 4 days of the 6 day format.
There will be five divisions: 12 & Under Boys, 14 & Under Boys, 16 & Under Boys, 16 & Under Girls, 20 & Under Boys Invitee

Over three fabulous days you will be able to view hundreds of the latest industry products all in the one place, while discovering all there is to know about caravanning, motor homes, camping, boating and four wheel driving in Australia.

Naidoc Week 6-13 July 2014 in Ballina

This year’s NAIDOC Week theme Serving Country: Centenary & Beyond honours all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women who have fought in defence of country.
Annual Celebration Walk – Monday July 7
Start at Ballina RSL CLub 11:30am – proceeding along River Street to Ballina Visitor Information Centre for official flag raising ceremony. All members of the community are invited to participate in the Walk and attend the morning tea.
NAIDOC Week Group Art Exhibition – Wed 2 July – Sun 13 July 2014
Official Launch: Sun 6 July 2014 (2pm – 4pm) This vibrant exhibition recognises the valuable contribution Indigenous people have made to this country. The exhibition features paintings, textiles, weaving and collections of found objects by Aboriginal artists associated with the Ballina Shire.
